Check out my articles on health and fitness. I talk about cholesterol myth, why global-1 may cause blindness, and other health related subjects. Would love your feedback and restacks. Happy Monday.
Thank you so much for your comment and for reading! That is absolutely awesome that you could translate your strength training into improved cycling performance. I think there is a lot of concern among endurance athletes that strength training will hurt their endurance performance. This just shows that when done thoughtfully, it's rather a performance enhancer!
I like to do eccentric variations of pushups, inverted/TRX rows, pull ups, squats...yet another variation to use when you want to switch things up, reduce the weight but maintain the challenge. Also, I have been focusing on strength building over the last several years after taking a break from my primary sport, competitive cycling. I am now as strong as ever on the bike and my return to racing has resulted in me being able to hang in a Mens Cat 3/40+ criterium this past weekend as I am about to turn 50 - I attribute this to the work I have put in the gym. I only ride 3-4 days a week now but I lift a minimum of 2 and I can clearly feel the difference.
Great stuff. Love what you put out. Regards. John. Stay locked in. Doc.

Everyone focuses on going up. The gains are in going down. As always great info
